Hongqiao deepens ties with Shanghai University of Political Science and Law

The Administrative Committee of the Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD) and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law signed a strategic cooperation agreement to help high-caliber graduates find places in Hongqiao CBD on Oct 17, local government reports.

The agreement provides for the two sides to work together on several aspects including providing students with practice bases and social practice and training opportunities based on the orientation of the CBD, the development of enterprises in the area and the university's available resources.

Fei Xiaomei, deputy director of the Hongqiao CBD Administrative Committee, said at the signing ceremony that Hongqiao is focusing on the three key development areas of big transportation, big exhibitions and big business as it continues to integrate the headquarters economy and the modern service sector. The increasing growth of enterprises and big events settling in the area calls for more high-end personnel as well.

Zhou Yin'e, deputy Party secretary and vice-principal of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, signed the agreement vowing that the school will provide courses to foster skilled talents especially in law, economic management and social management in support of the CBD's development.

It is hoped that Hongqiao CBD will in the future serve as a new starting point for students from Shanghai University of Political Science and Law.
