As the summer is drawing to a close, a new traffic flow peak is arriving at Shanghai Hongqiao Hub. The hub has received 36 million passengers from July 1 to Aug 16. Staff of Hongqiao Hub has tried their best to keep everything on track.

The hub contains high-speed rail, aviation and subway. The high-speed railway has seen the largest passenger flow. During the past 47 days, Shanghai Hongqiao high-speed railway station has sent 8.08 million passengers and welcomed 8.03 million passengers, according to Shanghai Railway Bureau.

As college freshmen and their parents are going to school for enrolment during the next half month, the railway station is sure to meet a new passenger peak.

T1 and T2, two passenger terminals at Hongqiao Airport, have received more than 5 million people (110 thousand people a day on average). Right now, the flights and passengers at Hongqiao Airport have been saturated.

At present, the metro line 2 and 10 has three stations respectively in Hongqiao hub section. The six metro stations have sent more than 9.86 million passengers.

Faced with the large flow of passengers, staff of Hongqiao hub has strengthened the safety protection work on the trains and elevators. They have also prepared small electric fans for children and gave them safety knowledge.

When the train or plane is cancelled or delayed, special windows for refunding or changing the ticket will be set. Even if the weather is hot, the staff still sticks to their own work for the passengers' safety and comfort.
