Fairy tales come to life at Hongqiao exhibition
An exhibition themed "Great Andersen – Classical Fairy Tales" will be on display in “The Hub”, an urban complex in Hongqiao Central Business District from June to August.
Two of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tales - “The Little Mermaid” and “The Princess and the Pea”- will go on show. A series of multimedia facilities such as 3D projection and visual reality will bring visitors immersive experience.
The Little Mermaid
Remember the mermaid and prince in the tale? The VR technology can relive the moment of the mermaid meeting the prince on a circular screen.
The Princess and the Pea
A house will be decorated with sponge props and the famous tale can be brought to life by placing a pea under the bed. Visitors can also take photos with the princess.
Four other famous tales penned by Andersen, including The Ugly Duckling, The Little Match Girl, Little Tin Soldiers and The Emperor's New Clothes, will be showcased in other areas.

Airport: The Hub has a remote check-in counter of China Eastern Airlines to help visitors with convenient check-in.
Parking
The Hub was built with 1,400 parking spaces. Customers with a single purchase amount of 50 yuan ($7.47) or above can enjoy 2-hour free parking. The maximum time for free parking will be four hours.
