The 2016 Shanghai International Green Building Forum concluded on June 7.

Min Shilin, executive deputy director of the Administration Committee of Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD), delivered keynote speech at the forum.

He reviewed the district’s achievements in regional planning and developing and managing green buildings to reach low-carbon goals. He also raised the Hongqiao CBD’s major tasks in green building and low-carbon development during the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20).

At present, a total construction area of 435.58 square meters in Hongqiao CBD were marked logos, taking up about 75 percent of the whole construction area. Among them, the 3-star projects amounted 34, the 2-star projects reached 17, occupying 21 percent of all the 2-star and above projects in Shanghai.

Hongqiao CBD will make efforts to promote more eco-friendly projects, aiming at developing green and ecological demonstration district in China and low-carbon development pilot zone in Shanghai, said Min.
