Haishang Yayue, a Shanghai-based traditional Chinese music company, unveiled its new Hongqiao foundation in the Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District at a ceremony held in Shanghai on May 19.

As part of the event, Wang Long, founder of Haishang Yayue and a guqin player, and Chang Jing, the guzheng soloist who played A Moonlit River on A Night in Spring at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, together with many other Chinese musicians, played some masterpieces from China’s traditional music repertoire.
