The Emperor UA Cinema is jointly invested by Hong Kong Emperor Motion Pictures and Hong Kong UA Cinemas. The cinema chain hopes to increase its international scope by drawing from its investors’’ rich operational experience and financial backing.

The Shanghai branch of Emperor UA Cinema is its third in China. It opened in Hongqiao Tiandi shopping mall of Hongqiao Central Business District on Sept 23, 2015. It spans an area of 4,800 square meters and includes seven deluxe screening rooms, one IMAX screen and one VIP screening room, providing approximately 1,100 seats.
