Grundfos is a global leader in advanced pump solutions as well as a trendsetter in the water technology. It opened its offices in the HUB (Hongqiao Tiandi), Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD), in June 2015.

This company is the world's largest pump manufacturer, based in Denmark, with more than 18,000 employees globally. Its annual production covers more than 12 million pump units, circulator pumps (CP), submersible pumps (SP), and centrifugal pumps (CR). Grundfos also produces electric motors for the pumps as well as electric motors for separate merchandising. The company develops and sells electronics for controls of pumps and other systems as well.

Grundfos was established in 1945 in Bjerringbro by the late Poul Due Jensen. The first name of the company was "Bjerringbro Pressestøberi og Maskinfabrik" (Bjerringbro Die-Casting and Machine Factory) and only after several changes of the name, in 1967, the company got its present name.
