6. Multiple transportation projects in Hongqiao CBD under construction

The gallery connecting Hongqiao transportation hub and the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) has been completed. The tunnel at Zhuguang road is currently under construction. The expansion of Huajiang Road (Beizhai Road-Wusong River) and the northern section of Jiamin Viaduct are all under intense construction. The construction projects will bring greater convenience to those travelling in the core area of Hongqiao CBD. 

7. Hongqiao transportation hub sees 310 million passengers in 2015

Hongqiao transportation hub saw its passenger flow hit 310 million in 2015. This equates to approximately 850,000 on a daily basis, up 8.3 percent over the previous year. The Administrative Committee of Hongqiao Central Business District has made efforts in the development of emergency unitization, linkage and emergency treatment mechanisms to ensure safe and smooth operations during major holidays and periods of exhibitions.
