4. The Hub goes into operation

The HUB in the Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD), also named Hongqiao Tiandi, opened to the public on Dec 12, 2015. It was the first land parcel in the district to be put into operation fully. A light show and a “Da Vinci the Genius” exhibition were held at the Hub during the same period.

Close to the transportation hub of Hongqiao, the HUB is a comprehensive commercial complex integrating catering, entertainment, culture, shopping and leisure experiences for those in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta. 

The complex is also home to China’s first long-distance flight check-in zone. 

5. Well-known companies settle in Hongqiao CBD

Many well-known companies from home and abroad, including Royal Dutch Shell Group, leading e-commerce player Vipshop and Germany-based KSPG have settled their regional or second headquarters in Hongqiao CBD this year.
