Living in Hongqiao 

Every time there is an event at the National Convention Center a large number of visitors arrive at THE HUB, and thousands of businesspeople travel to the district each year, propelling the development of the hotel industry. In the future, up to eight five-star hotels will be built, including four to be open by the end of 2016. 

The new five-star Sofitel Hualian hotel is expected to go into trial operation in Sept 2016. At the same time, two Hyatt hotels will open for business in the Jinchenqiaode area. With a Cordis hotel in the HUB targeting a December opening, the four hotels will together offer 1,113 rooms for tourists and business travelers.

In addition, the Indigo hotel on Dragon Lake Street will open for business in 2018, while the Ritz-Carlton and AC hotels will also become functional by 2019, capping off the forming of an integrated hotel cluster in Hongqiao.
