March 12, 2012 – The Shanghai municipal government approves the founding of the Development and Construction Headquarters of the Hongqiao CBD. 

Sept 27, 2012 - The 2012 Shanghai Hongqiao CBD International Business Leaders Advisory Seminar is held at the Shanghai Hongqiao Marriott Hotel. More than 200 world-renowned foreign-funded enterprises attend the seminar.  

Dec 3, 2012 – Ground is broken on the Longfor Hongqiao Paradise Walk, located at the Phase I of the core area, marking the start of construction on all social investment projects of the Phase I of the core area.

Dec 18, 2012 – A construction ceremony for infrastructure facility projects in the Guest Green Park of Hongqiao CBD is held, marking the beginning of the construction of the entire governmental investment project in the core area.

Jan 29, 2013 - The administrative committee of the Shanghai Hongqiao CBD is awarded "2012 Advanced Unit for Energy Efficiency in Buildings".

June 25, 2013 - The Shanghai Hongqiao CBD (Minghang district) Hong Kong promotion fair is held. Doctor Yeung Chun-Kam, chairman of Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, delivers a speech at the fair, which is attended by more than 150 senior corporate executives and 20 media outlets.

Oct 18, 2013 - Phase I of the central energy supply system is completed and put into operation.

On March 12 - The Shanghai American Chamber of Commerce Member Enterprises Meeting kicks off. The meeting is sponsored by American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and the administrative committees of the Hongqiao CBD and Minhang district government and attracts more than 60 American enterprises.

March 2014 - The special planning of public transportation in the core area of Hongqiao CBD is approved, marking a new progression in Hongqiao CBD's public transportation network.

April 12, 2014 - A legislative council delegation led by Leung Chun-ying, Hong Kong chief executive and Jasper Tsang, president of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, visit Shanghai Hongqiao CBD.

April 29 - Leo Varadkar, Ireland's Transport, Tourism and Sports Minister visits the Hongqiao CBD.

April 30 - The passenger traffic of Hongqiao Transportation Hub exceeds one million in a single day for the first time. 

May 28, 2014 - The administrative committee participates in the China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services. Opinions are shared and cooperation sought among 26,700 businessmen from 117 countries and more than 2,700 service trade enterprises.

June 26, 2014 - The committee participates in the 2014 Global Hub Economic Forum, communicating with the representatives of enterprises launched in the Hongqiao CBD, enterprise federations and senior economical executives, probing into the development of the global transportation hub.

July 9. 2014 - A collective agreement signing ceremony of companies launched in the Hongqiao CBD is held. More than 100 participants, including leadership from the administrative committee of Hongqiao CBD, industrial and commercial bureau, tax bureau, quality and technical bureau as well as the food and drug administration bureau of Shanghai municipal government attend the event.

July 9, 2014 - The Hongqiao CBD Corporate Service Center holds its opening ceremony and is officially put into operation.

Oct 19-21, 2014 – The National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), known as the largest expo center in Asia and the largest building (by volume) in the World, is put into trial operation.

Nov 7, 2014 - The event “Hongqiao in the eyes of American enterprises”, organized by the administrative committee of Hongqiao CBD and American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, gets underway. More than 50 member enterprises take part in the event.

Dec 22, 2014 - Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) decides to settle in the Hongqiao Vanke Center and signs an agreement.
