Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District
Qingpu district
Some 19 square kilometers of Qingpu district lie within the Shanghai Hongqiao CBD. This portion includes Xiaolai Port to the East, G15 Shenhai expressway to the West, the G2 Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway to the North and the G50 Shanghai- Chongqing High-Speed Railway to the South.
The district consists of two large national exhibition projects, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) and Shanghai National Accounting Institute.
Panlong ancient town is located in the district. The town is regarded by Shanghai government as the only historical and cultural protection zone in the Hongqiao CBD.
The district will strive to develop the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) and its industrial agglomeration area, headquarters, modern financial service cluster, Panlong cultural leisure area, creative industry agglomeration area and the characteristic Southern residential industry gathering area. It will spare no efforts to build a low-carbon demonstrative international community to cater to leisure, entertainment, tourism and shopping activities.
Changning district
Changning district of the Shanghai Hongqiao CBD covers a total area of 6.9 square kilometers. This includes Hongqiao International Airport T1 terminal and the Hongqiao Shanghai aviation service industry innovation pilot area. It is a vital functional area for Shanghai’s aviation services and plays an important role in the improvement of the CBD’s functions and scope for expansion.
T1 terminal is located in the eastern part the Hongqiao CBD, the Hongqiao airport’s comprehensive transform initial area and the headquarters of the demonstrational zone of the aviation services business district. The total area (including T1 terminal) covers approximately 0.16 square kilometers. The functional area of the terminal is engaged in the planning and commercial construction, business, and exhibition complex of Metro Line 10.
Shanghai Hongqiao aviation service industry innovation pilot area covers a total area of 6.74 square kilometers. It is focused on the development of aircraft maintenance, aircraft sales, air passengers, air cargo, general aviation services, air freight, air ticket distribution and agency services.
In addition, it is devoted to facilitating business in aircraft industry, free tax, aviation financial services and air express, in order to promote the development of the aviation industrial chain.
