The "Strolling Along Nanming River, Meeting Wang Yangming" New Year Run took place in Nanming district on Dec 21, attracting around 150 participants, including members of the Western Gobi Friends Alliance from business schools as well as local residents.
Runners started along the scenic Nanming River, passing by iconic landmarks such as Renmin Square, Jiaxiu Pavilion, and Xianrendong Cave.
After completing the approximately 12-kilometer course, they received commemorative medals.

A representative from the Nanming district culture and tourism bureau highlighted the route's blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Post-race, participants shared their experiences and took photos. "This event is especially meaningful, as it connects Yangming culture and the Gobi spirit in the historical location where Wang Yangming achieved enlightenment," said participant Li Jianhui.
Zhao Shan traveled from South China's Shenzhen to participate in the event. "The organization was excellent, with volunteers supporting us along the way. The route offered breathtaking scenery and a glimpse into the rich cultural history, making for an unforgettable experience," she said.
