The Guizhou Provincial Government recently approved the establishment of the Guizhou Nanming Economic Development Zone in Nanming district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. It will operate under the policies of a provincial-level economic and technological development zone.
It will cover a planned area of 7.82 square kilometers and consist of three sections: the Nanming Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, 0.51 sq km, the Ergezhai Industrial Park, 6.01 sq km, and the Hongyan Industrial Park, 1.3 sq km.
The development zone will focus on leading industrial sectors. It aims to enhance industrial development planning, strengthen investment attraction, optimize the investment environment, promote industrial upgrading, and accelerate infrastructure construction. Efforts will also be made to establish a comprehensive management system to enhance its competitiveness, influence, and regional synergy.
The zone also plans to foster an innovative, open economy by attracting export-oriented enterprises. It will emphasize environmental, resource, and safety regulations.
The ultimate goal is to develop the zone into a leading area for advanced manufacturing clusters, a pioneer in high-quality inland open economic development, and a model for management system reforms.
