The RCEP Traditional Medicine Industry Development Round-Table Conference was convened on Aug 23 in the Nanming district of Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
It aims to establish a platform for exchanges and cooperation within the traditional medicine sector, particularly in the field of Chinese medicine, both domestically and internationally.
With the tagline "Promoting the High-Quality Integration of Chinese-ASEAN Traditional Medicine under the RCEP Opportunity," the conference featured both the signing of cooperation agreements and a number of keynote speeches.
During the cooperation agreement segment, the Nanming district people's government signed collaboration agreements with Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guizhou Hospital of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.
In the keynote speech section, leaders and experts from the traditional medicine industry delivered speeches, sharing their successful experiences in the development of the traditional medicine sector and exploring new models and pathways for collaboration.
As one of the organizers of the event, Nanming district has steadfastly pursued a path of sustainable development by advancing traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in tandem. The district has intensified research, development, and innovation related to TCM.
