As spring arrives, Qingyun Road in Nanming district of Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been drawing in a large number of visitors.
Tourists from all corners of the country have flocked to this location to savor authentic Guizhou snacks, purchase intricate cultural and creative goods, and take photos against its unique graffiti walls.
"We came to Guizhou for a spring outing and stayed in Guiyang for two days. Staying near Qingyun Road has been very convenient for us, with plenty of dining and entertainment options. The children really love it here," said Ms Jian, who hails from Wuhan.
She expressed her fondness for Guizhou's scenery and culture, mentioning that she planned this trip specifically for her children. This was their first time visiting Qingyun Road, and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
With the rise in temperature, the foot traffic along Qingyun Road has gradually increased, which has also increased the consumption revenue of local merchants.
"Many out-of-town visitors come to try our specialty beef noodles, and the feedback has been very positive," shared a staff member from a Huaxi Beef Noodle shop. They mentioned that business has been much better compared to the winter.
Wang Chu from Handan expressed that before coming, he had researched travel tips and found that staying near Qingyun Road was very convenient. Not only is it close to the attractions, but the public transportation here is also very convenient. He particularly appreciated the diverse styles of cafes, teahouses, and bars, which are in line with the preferences of young people.
During the Qingming Festival holiday, April 4 to 6, Qingyun Road saw a total consumption revenue of 5.71 million yuan ($782,191.78), marking a 67.2 percent year-on-year increase. And the tourist flow here reached 296,800 people, reflecting a 72.6-percent increase compared to the same period of last year.
