Nanming travel agency bookings see huge surge

As the May Day holiday approaches, the tourism market is on the rise.

According to the "2024 May Day Tourism Trend Insight Report" that was released by China's online travel agency Ctrip, Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, ranked second in the growth rate of car rental orders among provincial capitals, with a 14 percent year-on-year increase in travel bookings.

The main sources of tourists in Guiyang are from Chengdu, Chongqing, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Popular travel destinations for Guiyang residents include Chongqing, Beihai, Chengdu, Changsha, and Kunming.

It is understood that in Nanming district, the number of group tours and small group bookings received by some travel agencies has approached more than half.

It is worth mentioning that there has also been a significant increase in the number of tourists from Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang provinces.
