Nanming: A destination for investment

Nanming district in Guiyang city was listed in China's top 100 districts in terms of investment competitiveness in 2023, which was released by market research company CCID Consulting.

The evaluation for this list consists of six primary indicators and 20 secondary indicators, including government services, opening-up strategies, basic environment, industrial vitality, talent attraction, and factor guarantees.

In 2023, Nanming continuously improved its investment promotion mechanism and accelerated its institutional development. It also optimized its business environment, and enhanced the "Nanming, where living and working are both comfortable" brand.

Over the last year, Nanming has also introduced 130 new industrial projects, including three listed companies, 17 high-tech enterprises, five technologically-advanced enterprises, two gazelle enterprises, and 38 excellent enterprises.

Elsewhere, Nanming has optimized its government services. An example of this is that the enterprises in the district can complete business registration within 2 hours.

Nanming implemented an employment priority strategy in 2023, and took multiple measures to stabilize employment rates and promote employment.

In 2023, Nanming created 39,677 new urban jobs, conducted vocational skills training for 6,026 people, helped 27 corporate talents to obtain the Guiyang-Gui'an Talent Service Green Card, and applied for a total of 10.32 million yuan ($1.41 million) in high-level talent subsidies for four experts who currently hold Guizhou Province Outstanding Talent Cards.
