According to statistics provided by Guiyang Customs, the total import and export trade volume of Nanming district in Southwest China's Guizhou province reached 3.47 billion yuan ($495 million) in the first half of this year, achieving a year-on-year growth of 19.07 percent.
Since the beginning of this year, Nanming has seized on numerous cooperation opportunities, and organized enterprises to participate in many events such as the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) and the 2023 Birmingham Gifts and Consumer Goods Exhibition in the United Kingdom. It pursued this approach with the goal of continuously expanding the channels for external exchanges and cooperation to help local enterprises grow their overseas markets.
Nanming has also strengthened its cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao.
It held a purchasing fair for Guizhou products at the Nanming Asia-Pacific Center, and selected high-quality products bearing Guizhou characteristics to enter the sales networks in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and overseas. The fair included 43 food suppliers with a total of 170 product categories, and nine handicraft suppliers with a total of 3,087 product categories.
Moving forward, Nanming will continue to promote high-level opening-up, expand the service team for outward-oriented economic enterprises, establish a long-term service mechanism for key enterprises, regularly visit and help resolve the difficulties companies face, and make every effort to improve the services offered to enterprises.
