New electrophoretic display project starts operation in Nanming

An inauguration ceremony for an electrophoretic display project was held in the Nanming Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park on July 25.

The project was invested in by MICROVIEW Electronics (Shenzhen) Co (MICROVIEW) with a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($143 million).

The ceremony was attended by more than 40 representatives from leading enterprises and well-known business associations throughout the electronic information manufacturing industry chain.

They also discussed the development of the electrophoretic display industry and the construction of a new display industry chain ecosystem.

MICROVIEW, as one of the earliest domestic manufacturers of electrophoretic display modules, established its Guizhou company in Nanming district in December 2022 to take charge of the project.

After four months of construction, three new automated production lines and two specialized production lines have been completed.

A total of 21 new automated production lines will be established. After reaching full production within five years, it is expected to achieve an industrial output value of over 10 billion yuan per year.
