Nanming district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will make strong efforts to relieve parking congestion this year.
In so doing, a total of nine new parking lots will be built, which will mainly be located in Nanming's residential communities and business facilities and provide around 4,800 parking spaces.
Meanwhile, enterprises in Nanming district will make full use of idle space under the viaducts of Jiefang Road, Fuyuan Road and Dusi Road, as well as open space next to the roads, to design a batch of parking lots and access a wisdom management platform.
Moreover, Nanming Traffic Police will ensure that more than 1,100 parking spaces at Shangyi Road Primary School and Jiaxiu Senior High School are free to parents of students when picking up and dropping off their students.
This is expected to reduce traffic pressure caused by the temporary parking of vehicles at school during peak hours.
Moving forward, Nanming will continue to improve its intelligent parking management and promote the sharing of parking lots in government facilities, residential communities and business circles.
