Jiaxiu Pavilion, a landmark in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was highlighted on the Weather Forecast program of China's national TV channel CCTV on April 13.
The pavilion, located in Guiyang's Nanming district, was featured due to the great changes that have occurred in the environment surrounding it, with clear water, fresh air and blue sky.
The improved environment is the result of Nanming's efforts to prioritize environmental protection and ecological civilization construction.
Statistics from the district show that in 2021, the air quality rated as good or excellent in Nanming district on 98.6 percent of days, four percentage points higher than in 2017.
