The Nanming district of Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- will build six new schools in the current year which are estimated to provide 6,000 student places, in a bid to balance education resources and relieve the current pressure on school admissions.

The planned schools are Jindi Shangyi Primary School, a branch of Jindi Nanming Experiment Kindergarten, a branch of Jinlu Dade School, a branch of Jinlu Nanming Kindergarten, the Guiyang Jianhua Experiment School and a branch of Shougang No 18 Middle School.
Moving forwards, plans are for Nanming to renovate, expand and build around 30 schools during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), to improve its overall quality of education.
