The Nanming district of Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently launched a priority works list for 2022 that aims to improve its people's overall standard of living and quality of life.
Improving education
Under the plan, Nanming will construct two new schools and resume the construction of two schools in the current year.
To improve its standard of education, Nanming will introduce first-class education resources from outside Guizhou province and co-build three schools.
Guaranteeing employment
In the current year, Nanming will implement an employment and entrepreneurship program targeting college graduates and people having difficulty securing employment.
Nanming will provide 7,500 new positions for college graduates and make sure that the amount of newly added employed people in the district reaches 36,000 throughout the year.
Increasing cultural services
In 2022, Nanming district plans to construct and upgrade eight township-run comprehensive cultural stations and 61 village comprehensive cultural service centers. It will also complete the construction of emergency broadcasting facilities in one district-level department and 10 townships and sub-districts.
Plans are for the district to also start construction of a historical and cultural district around the Jiaxiu Pavilion.
Improving medical, health services
Nanming district will start construction of a center for disease control and prevention and a storage warehouse for medical emergency supplies and renovate no less than 15 health service centers.
In addition, 18 urban public toilets will be built, renovated and upgraded, while installation of eco-friendly toilets will take place for 201 households.
Other measures will include improving the construction of sports facilities at 27 sites. There will also be the planned renovation of 45 eldercare facilities, while no less than 2,690 households in shanty towns will be updated and some 4,800 public parking slots will be installed.
