Nanming district signs accord to further develop TCM industry

The government of Nanming district – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – and Beijing-headquartered ICE Bioscience Co on Jan 5 reportedly signed an important investment agreement.

Under the deal, the two will jointly liaise on medicine research and development and help advance the development of traditional Chinese medicine, or the TCM industry in Nanming.

Prior to the signing ceremony, representatives conducted extended talks about expanding and deepening areas of cooperation and extending results.

Huang Chenghong, Party secretary of Nanming district in Guiyang, welcomed the ICE Bioscience Co delegation and gave a brief talk on the development of the TCM industry in Nanming and in Guizhou.

Guizhou province, as one of the four largest Chinese medicine materials-producing areas in the country, has rich Chinese resources and a strong foundation for the development of the TCM industry.

Its Nanming district is rated as a provincial comprehensive demonstration zone for traditional Chinese medicine services – and is exploring the inheritance, innovation and development of the TCM industry.
