Nanming stages major performance for CPC's 100th anniversary

A cultural performance competition was held on April 8 at Huaguoyuan Shopping Center in Nanming district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) this year.

Through singing and dancing, it aimed to further boost the community's cultural life and promote the harmonious development of the district, while celebrating the anniversary.

More than 30 teams participated in the cultural contest. The winning teams are set to participate in a recording of the city's large-scale art performance marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.

A number of exciting performances with rich content and diverse forms won applause from the audience, including solos, choruses, dance and catwalk shows.

"The performances are wonderful. I hope that more such activities will be held in the future to enrich our amateur cultural life," said a local resident.
