In 2021, Nanming district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will focus on improving people's livelihoods, covering 10 key aspects such as employment and entrepreneurship, education, medical treatment and ecological construction.
The district will cultivate three technology business incubators (makerspaces) and 60 newly-incubated companies (startup teams) throughout the year.
Regarding education quality improvement, Nanming will build, renovate and expand four schools, reconstruct 85 standardized test classrooms and promote the renewal project of Jiaxiu Senior Middle School.
Medical treatment is also a key task for the district in 2021. It will build two community health service centers and begin constructing the Nanming District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In terms of living environment enhancements, the district will complete the comprehensive renovation of 40 back streets and alleys, the transformation of 3,795 villages in shantytowns and the renewal of 2,428 old communities.
Nanming will also build five domestic garbage classification demonstration communities and a temporary garbage transfer station.
Meanwhile, the district will upgrade six township (sub-district)-level cultural stations and ensure 56 village-level comprehensive cultural centers reach the provincial standards.
The construction of emergency broadcasting systems will start in 20 townships (sub-districts) and 187 villages (residential committees).
Nanming district will also build and renovate 50 chain convenience stores, upgrade eight farmer's markets and build a community daycare center for the elderly.
