The Guiyang Center for Public Recourses Transaction issued an announcement on Jan 28 on the renovation of old communities in the Guanshui Road area and Xinglong area in Nanming district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
With an investment of about 220 million yuan ($34.07 million), the renovation project will follow the engineering procurement construction (EPC) model.
The old community renovation project in the Guanshui Road area has an investment of 91.44 million yuan, with a construction scale of 110,298.4 square meters and a construction period of 365 days.
With a construction scale of 270,300 sq m, the old community renovation project in the Xinglong area has an investment of 128.46 million yuan. Its construction period is also 365 days.
The renovation of old communities falls into three main categories: foundation, improvement and upgrading.
Foundation renovation refers to the overhaul of infrastructure, service facilities, roads and public areas related to water, electricity, gas and communications.
Improvement renovation mainly includes the renewal of energy-saving buildings, cultural and sports facilities, barrier-free facilities, communities and property houses, as well as the installation of elevators and parking garages.
Upgrading renovation mainly improves community facilities for senior citizen care, kindergarten, compulsory education schools, healthcare, housekeeping, commercial facilities and smart communities.
