Provincial officials laud Nanming district village teachers

The work and offerings of help in poverty-stricken Congjiang county by a group of teachers from Nanming district in Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- received warm praise from officials at the province's education department, according to local media reports on Dec 17.

Congjiang county, located in the southeast of the province, was a deeply poverty-stricken county. Dadai Miao village is located in Bingmei town in the county. A major improvement in education standards was an urgent need to tackle the situation.

In November 2019, under the coordination of the province's education department, Nanming district dispatched five top teachers to Dadai primary school to provide assistance.

They focused on the management, education and local teachers' professional skills levels and other areas.

The goal was to provide help within their abilities for the development of Dadai primary school's teaching, as well as to help the school comprehensively improve the quality and level of its administration.

Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the first batch of 100 cases of rural schools with significantly improved campuses. Three schools in Guizhou were selected, one of which was Dalai primary school.

Nanming's teacher support team was also selected as the "most beautiful rural teachers" team in Guizhou.
