Nanming district of Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, launched a new building rating system recently, it would make a major difference to the area's building economy development moving forwards.
The district unveiled the rating system on Nov 17 at the national building economy service standardization special session, at the 2020 China building economy expo in Chengdu, capital city of Southwest China's Sichuan province.
The new rating standards for commercial buildings and the evaluation standards for professional characteristic buildings will be issued.
In addition, a building economy expert think tank will be set up to refine the classification and rating of commercial buildings and characteristic buildings by drawing up detailed classification standards.
The overall aim is to introduce uniform professional standards for the development of buildings in the district, improve their construction quality and promote the upgrading of the commercial real estate market, among other things.
In recent years, Nanming district has continued to promote the development of building economy. To date, 84 new buildings have been built and put into use, with a total construction area of 3.9 million square meters and 19 buildings are currently under construction, with a total construction area of 2.05 million sq m.
In future, the district plans to speed up the improvement of management, services and consultations for these new buildings.
It will closely comply with urban development regulations and improve standards, paving the way for specialization, high-end and internationalized structures.
The building rating standard system will fully serve companies, markets and urban development -- and strive to create a "Nanming standard and Guiyang model" for the building economy.
