The third Jiaxiu Lunjian forum was held on Oct 15 in the Nanming district of Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- focusing on new infrastructure, innovation and entrepreneurship.
According to local media reports, the forum has been held three times, with topics covering big data, artificial intelligence, integrated circuits and other fields.
With its expanding influence, the forum has brought inspiration to the innovation and development of industry, as well as becoming one of the brand activities of Nanming district.
At this year's forum, the guests and attendees expressed their opinions on the theme of new infrastructure, innovation and entrepreneurship.
They shared their experiences with entrepreneurs and made suggestions for the development of the digital economy in Nanming district, Guiyang city and even for the development of Guizhou province.
In recent years, Nanming has promoted the development of entrepreneurship and innovation.
In 2019, the district had 831 innovation-oriented businesses of various types, accounting for 11 percent of the total number of high-tech enterprises in the province.
It also had 12 specialized new small and medium-sized enterprises, 2,705 new patents and 7,071 patents in total -- ranking first in the province -- and a ratio of 76.3 patents per 10,000 people, which is 5.7 times the national average level.
At the same time, the district has 61 supporting platforms for various types of innovation and entrepreneurship.
These included four national level maker spaces, accounting for 33 percent of the province's total.
In addition, the district also won honorary titles as a scientific development research hub and for being a core area in a national, innovative city.
At present, the district is planning new infrastructure, while cultivating and optimizing its digital ecosystem.
