A total of 695,500 people made trips to the Nanming district of Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday.
They generated over 1.46 billion yuan ($218.27 million) in tourism revenue, the local authorities said on Oct 9.
To ensure the safety and stability of the holiday and tourism market, local departments carried out detailed inspections at various tourist attractions and at related companies in advance.
These helped to ensure the well-being of tourists and created a peaceful and happy festival atmosphere.
To date, Nanming district had not received any tourism safety accident report but said it had received five tourism-related complaints, all of which were properly handled.
