To beef up its cross-regional and cross-level handling of government affairs operations, Nanming district in Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has established a special area at its government service center for locals and resident companies, local officials said on July 21.
Under new measures and requirements to be rolled out to streamline procedures, the special area will take matter further after the early preparation and use of administrative resources, officials said.
They said a total of 11 general service windows and one comprehensive general office window have been set up to help the public. These will handle such areas as the environment, education, agriculture, culture and tourism.
They will also handle such other areas as justice, civil affairs, water utilities, health, development and reform and housing and construction, as well.
With the opening of the service area and publicity, many locals have already come to the special area for consultations. Since June, 774 general cross-provincial cases have been handled, officials said.
