Nanming district debuts promotional video in Times Square

A promotional video for the Nanming district of Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, debuted on the big screen in Times Square in New York in the United States on Dec 21, 2018, according to the district's officials.

The 30-second video, entitled Welcome to Nanming, debuted on Dec 21, 2018 and will run until Jan 2, 2020.

Through three sections, the video shows the changes of Nanming district from ancient times to the present.

New York's Times Square, known as the "Crossroad of the World", is a global gathering place for media and tourists.

The "China screen" is located at the top of the tower of Times Square. It plays Chinese-themed promotion videos all year-round and has become an important window for domestic cities and enterprises to display their own images.
