Government officials from Nanming district in Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- held a symposium with the Guizhou Chamber of Commerce in Japan on Dec 23, according to local officials.
They said the aim was to promote the integrated development of the district's culture, tourism and business, helped by Japanese partnerships and knowhow.
Liu Shengwei, deputy head of Nanming district government and the chairman of Guizhou Chamber of Commerce in Japan attended the symposium.
Leaders of the Nanming district investment promotion bureau, the district's culture and Tourism bureau, its commerce bureau and the business management team of HLC Group also attended the symposium.
Liu discussed Nanming's development strategy and the idea of integrating its cultural, tourism and business development.
She stressed that it was important to give full play to the advantages of Nanming district's rich cultural tourism resources -- being located in the business center of the province – to attract Japanese resources in the fields of commerce, culture and sports.
Officials said it is hoped that the Nanming government and Guizhou Chamber of Commerce in Japan can establish stable commercial relations -- and continue to expand cooperation between the two sides.
At the symposium, the heads of HLC Group and Guizhou Chamber of Commerce in Japan outlined their current conditions.
The delegation from the Guizhou Chamber of Commerce in Japan, after getting a detailed understanding of Nanming district's Huaguoyuan area, was positive.
Members said that the area has a broad prospect of development and the two sides could work together in a number of fields -- adding that they can cooperate in cultural, catering and sports events.
After the symposium, the delegation of the chamber of commerce also visited the Huaguoyuan area.
Founded in May 2018, the Guizhou Chamber of Commerce in Japan is a non-profit organization. Its purpose is to build a business bridge, for cooperation between Japan and Guizhou and to promote economic and cultural exchanges between the two sides.
