The government website of Nanming district in Guiyang -- capital city of southwestern Guizhou province -- ranked 78th in the national performance evaluation for districts and counties' governments' websites, according to a list published at a press conference held in Beijing on Dec 6.
The press conference was held for publishing the results of the 18th performance evaluation for China's websites of governments at all levels.
According to local media reports, this year's evaluation was themed on "building smart service-oriented government, promoting the modernization of national governance capacity".
Before the press conference, the Software Technology Testing Center (CSTC) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology carried out the evaluation of 817 websites of ministries and commissions and government portals at all levels, with 452 websites for districts and county governments participating.
In recent years, there has been strict accordance to the principle of "one portal website for one level government and one sub website for one department".
During this time, all websites of government or government departments in Nanming district have been streamlined and integrated into the government portal website of Nanming district.
Officials said that in addition, the district has continuously strengthened the construction of the core functions of government websites, further strengthened the publicity of government information based on the core requirements of the public, and given full play to the role of government portals as the first platform for publicity of government affairs.
The district has also strengthened the connection between policy documents and policy interpretation on the website.
It made interpretation documents public for the first time, so that the public could understand all the policies in due time and improve the credibility of the government.
In addition, the district has strengthened the interaction between the government and its citizens and responded to social hot spots in time.
It has made efforts in content research, reviews, the timely processing and timely feedback of internet user messages -- to build a more authoritative public opinion guidance platform and lay a solid foundation for the realization of "big data + government affairs publicity", "big data + government affairs service" and the construction of an intelligent service-oriented government.
