In the first three quarters of this year, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Nanming district, Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, reached 27.82 billion yuan ($3.96 billion), ranking first in Guiyang, with a year-on-year growth of 6.1 percent, according to local authorities.
Since the beginning of this year, Nanming district has implemented various policies and measures to stabilize economic growth, promote consumption, give full play to the basic role of consumption in economic development, and strive to construct a better business environment and offer better services for commercial and trading enterprises in the district.
At the same time, relevant local departments have actively promoted the optimization of the structure of commercial and trade enterprises, further improved the quality of commercial and trade enterprises, used online and offline combined retail modes to guide the transformation and upgrading of traditional large shopping malls and supermarkets, and accelerate cooperation with e-commerce operators.
Nanming district has also built its own online shopping platform to promote the transformation and upgrading of the traditional retail sector.
