Nanming procuratorate deepens ties to police college

An agreement for establishing a teaching and practicing base was signed between Guizhou Police College and Nanming district people's procuratorate in Nanming district of Guiyang, in southwestern Guizhou province on Nov 19.

According to local officials, after Guizhou Police College sets up the teaching and practicing base in Nanming district people's procuratorate, the two sides will further strengthen their cooperation.

They will also explore bilateral talent training modes, improve the operating mechanism for scientific research cooperation and strengthen the construction of think tank for the procuratorate.

In addition, through the establishment of a more extensive and pragmatic cooperation mechanism, the two sides are expected to achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages and win-win cooperation.

The two sides signed a cooperation agreement in January, 2016.

Officials said that since then, the prosecutor at the procuratorate have given lectures on drug control, prevention of poor campus loans and other topics about the rule of law in the police college.

Senior prosecutors were also appointed to summarize their case handling experience and hold a series of special lectures on the science of evidence, criminal investigations and supervision, as well as legal document writing.

Officials said all these activities not only enriched the teaching of the college, but also helped prosecutors continue to improve the level of their theoretical knowledge and practical ability.

At the same time, prosecutors also actively participated in the college's research and have contributed to many papers.

Furthermore, the procuratorate has invited experts from the college to form a think tank to enhance the specialization and professionalization of the procuratorial team.

It will lead to better exchanges and the promotion of theoretical research and judicial practice.

At present, 28 teachers with the legal qualifications have become the members of the think tank.
