A grand commercial complex is to settle in Guiyang city's Nanming district, which promises to meet its residents' increasingly sophisticated needs and provide a major economic and commercial boost to the area, according to local officials.

They said the signing ceremony for the high-end commercial complex – called The MixC – took place on Oct 31 between Nanming district and developer China Resources Land Limited.

Under the terms of the agreement, the project plans to adapt to the current situation in Guiyang and meet the high-quality living needs of its residents.

The developer will build a large-scale commercial complex – The MixC – that will feature large supermarkets, high-quality shopping centers, cinemas and other business activities.

Officials said on completion, the project will form a high-end commercial cluster and become a new commercial landmark of Guiyang.

Zou Jie, Party secretary of Nanming district, said at the signing ceremony that the project would further promote urban space renewal, as well as rejuvenating the appearance and functionality of the district, while laying a solid foundation for the overall sustainable development of the city.

Moving forward, officials said Nanming district will continue to provide the best service possible for further business development and promote the early completion of the project.
