The 2019 Guiyang division of the Youth Artificial Intelligence Technical Level Test was held in Nanming district of Guiyang on Oct 28, attracting the participation of over 600 primary schools' students.
The test, in the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was held at the Nanming districts' No.2 Experimental Middle School -- providing more opportunities for Guiyang children to experience, learn and show their AI abilities.
For a long time, the school has aimed to harness the influence of the mobile internet, big data, the internet of things and AI in its education.
No.2 Experimental Middle School in Nanming district and Guizhou Experimental Middle School have made great efforts to build a "smart campus" by promoting the "subject + technology" reform, promoting the high integration of information technology, knowledge and evaluation.
They have also innovated teaching methods, to enable education to happen anytime and anywhere, and promoted the personalized development of students.
Officials said the examination syllabus, examination questions, teaching materials and exercises -- as well as the examination system of the Youth Artificial Intelligence Technical Level Test program -- are being developed by Peking University.
That work is being done under the guidance of the Center for Electronic Information Appliance Education of China (CEIAEC) at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Education Society of Electronics (CESE).
The examination is mainly divided into a theoretical examination and practical operations examination.
Only those who pass the two examinations can pass the test. Qualified students will obtain the certificate jointly issued by CEIAEC and CESE.
