Founded in July 1919, the First People's Hospital of Guiyang, which integrates medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, prevention, health care, rehabilitation and first aid, is the first third-grade class-A comprehensive hospital in Guiyang. 

At present, the hospital has two branches, while the headquarters is located at No 97, Boai Road, Nanming district, Guiyang city. The new branch is located in Xingye South Street (near Longdongbao Airport) in Shuanglong Airport Economy Development Zone, with a total area of 176,500 square meters and a floor area of 150,300 square meters. There are 2,000 beds. 

There are 1,755 staff members, 45 clinical and medical technology departments, and 16 standardized training bases for resident doctors. The hospital is equipped with internationally advanced medical instruments and equipment such as GE superconducting 3.0T NMR, GE GSI CT (dynamic 500 row), GE Cardioangiography System, GE Dual Energy X-ray Bone Densitometer, Siemens Volumetric Redering Ultrasound System and various endoscopic surgery equipment.
