District govt officials conduct field research on high-tech projects and gear up for Big Data Expo 2019

Nanming district government officials conducted field research on Mar 14 at the sites of the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2019, and urged high-quality preparation, construction safety, and on schedule completion. 

The officials, led by Zhu Gang, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and District Head, made the visits to learn about and promote the preparation progress for the expo Zhu requested that relevant departments and units of the district should earnestly enhance their sense of responsibility and urgency to ensure that the projects are of high quality, progressed safely and built on time.

The delegation visited the construction sites of the ICC industry platform project of Guizhou IC Research Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the Huaguoyuan big data social governance platform. Zhu listened to the reports on the progresses of both projects, from which he learned about their difficulties and issues and made instructions for the next step.

At the site of the ICC industry platform project of Guizhou IC Research Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, more than 40 decoration workers were busy with the construction, laying bricks, ceiling, wiring and carrying out other procedures in an orderly manner. 

Zhu looked at the map of the construction layout and learned the function of each area in the field. He demanded that the constructors should strengthen the overall planning, arrange the time reasonably, and vigorously and orderly carry out quality and quantity control so as to speed up the construction progress and ensure that the project can be completed in high quality, safely and on schedule. 

He also emphasized that relevant departments of the government should effectively change their work style, take the initiative to provide on-site services, help enterprises solve the actual difficulties and problems, and sincerely provide quality services to enterprises.

At the Huahuoyuan exhibition platform, Zhu learned about the specific preparation work and asked the project implementers to enhance their sense of responsibility and urgency, do their best to carry forward the process, and take care of every detail of the preparation work in accordance with the requirements for a delicate, concrete and all-round exhibition site for the Expo. 

Zhu said that it is necessary to dig deep into the value of big data and focus on the issues of the most direct mass interests such as traffic, fire-control, security, water and electricity issues, etc., so as to put forward practical solutions as soon as possible, promote convenient public services, refine management of urban resources, create a reliable living environment, smart infrastructure, long-term and efficient Internet security, and strive to create a smart community for the Huaguoyuan area. 

Zhu also stressed the initiative to promote the establishment of a smart city command platform integrating visualization, data integration, block data management and linkage of various subsystems, conduct scientific monitoring and effective management on traffic, public security and urban management of Huaguoyuan area, and therefore ensure the creation of a municipality with smooth roads, good public security conditions, and clean and tidy streets.

The 2019 China International Big Data Industry Expo will be held in Guiyang from May 26 to May 29. Since its inception in 2015, the expo has been successfully held for four consecutive years and was officially upgraded to a national-level exhibition in 2017.
