Maoming's first in-city terminal opened on Dec 30, making the journey to Zhanjiang Wuchuan International Airport faster and more convenient. The terminal is located at the South Square of Maoming Railway Station.

The terminal provides a wide range of one-stop services, including flight information inquiries, domestic and international flight ticket purchasing, check-in procedures, and checked luggage pre-screening. Passengers can also enjoy a comfortable waiting area, free drinking water, first-aid supplies as well as seamless airport shuttle services.

"It's very convenient to get from my neighborhood to the railway station, and I can simply take the shuttle bus to the airport at the city terminal," said a Maoming resident surnamed Chen.

There are now three shuttle buses, each equipped with 33 seats. They operate 12 times daily between Maoming Bus Terminal and Zhanjiang Wuchuan International Airport, with additional trips planned for holidays and busy travel seasons. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes and passes through four boarding points including Wyndham Grand Hotel and Maoming International Hotel. Tickets are priced at 38 yuan ($5.2) each.

By bringing the airport closer to residents, the new city terminal strengthens Maoming's connectivity and is expected to boost its economic development, tourism growth, and regional competitiveness.
