The Baiqiao Service Area on the Baomao Expressway is near completion, with the installation of its dome steel structure and the layout of 16 commercial sectors almost finalized.
Located at the intersection of Genzi town and Fenjie town in Maoming, this service area spans 18.3 hectares and features a 180,000-square-meter commercial complex. It aims to become a premier demonstration service area integrating transportation, agriculture, culture, tourism, and commerce.
Leveraging Maoming's unique geographical and cultural heritage, the Baiqiao Service Area focuses on commercial layout, business attraction, and operational management from the planning stage. It is set to serve as a platform for promoting local culture and tourism, showcasing and selling local agricultural products and specialties.
The service area highlights Maoming's distinctive industries, such as lychees, longans, Sanhua plums, and Exocarpium Citri Grandis, with dedicated sales and experience zones. It also features an agarwood experience hall, offering insights into Chinese culture, hands-on incense making, and meditation experiences.
Baichiao Service Area has introduced diverse businesses, including clothing, general merchandise, dining, retail, and intangible cultural heritage products. It has partnered with the Maoming municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, tourism, and sports to bring local snacks and specialties, providing travelers with authentic dishes and a platform for Maoming's premium agricultural products.
