In recent years, Dianbai district has been providing solid support for the "Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Project" in terms of guaranteeing food security. This year, the entire district has completed planting over an area of 306,000 mu (20,400 hectares), with a grain output exceeding 120,000 metric tons.
Over the past three years, the district has implemented 19 high-standard farmland construction projects covering 83,400 mu. By the end of July, the total area of high-standard farmland in the district had reached 589,600 mu.
In 2023, the district allocated 3.46 million yuan ($486,000) in agricultural machinery subsidies for the purchase of 5,626 units of machinery for 1,946 benefiting households. The comprehensive mechanization level of crop cultivation and harvesting in the entire district reached 57.27 percent in 2023, with the mechanization level for rice cultivation and harvesting exceeding 81 percent, enhancing the overall mechanization of agricultural operations.
The introduction of agricultural social organizations to manage land has promoted mechanized production to increase the scale, intensity and utilization of fragmented farmland. In 2023, the district managed 380,000 mu of agricultural land, resulting in an increase of over 15 percent in yield per mu and a more than 20 percent increase in the incomes of farmers.
In 2024, 50.88 million yuan was allocated for farmland fertility protection subsidies, a 6.86 percent year-on-year increase to support food security and production.
