This summer, Maoming's Gaozhou city has become a vibrant hub for a plethora of events and competitions, not only igniting enthusiasm among residents but also attracting a large influx of tourists.

By optimizing curriculum design and integrating elements such as Longan culture and traditional Chinese medicine culture, Meiliang village in Fenjie town has developed a range of unique local study tour projects, attracting nearly 10 thousand people.

At the Genzi Ancient Litchi Garden in Sishui town, the "Chinese Litchi Homeland" weekend carnival is currently being held. Featuring Hanfu parades, rural concerts, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, artistic performances, and local delicacies, the activities have attracted over 30,000 visitors, with each event generating over 40,000 yuan ($5,600) in consumer spending.

On July 20, the first Guangdong Agricultural Games kicked off, attracting nearly 5,000 individuals to Meiliang village as part of the "Hundreds of Thousands of Projects."

The picturesque Xianrendong Scenic Area in Shenzhen town has become a popular destination among visitors seeking to escape the summer heat. Xianrendong village, in preparation for the peak summer tourism season, has introduced a variety of rural experiential activities such as stargazing camping, bonfire parties, overnight stays, night tours, night shopping, and night performances.

Shenzhen town is the sole "Guangdong rural homestay demonstration town" in Maoming, boasting over 30 boutique homestays. During the summer, daily bookings consistently exceed a hundred units, propelling the monthly revenue of the entire town's homestay industry to over 20 million yuan.
