Established in April 2012, the Maoming Binhai New Area spans a planned area of 1,688 square kilometers. Known for its robust petrochemical industry and abundant tourism resources, this region is a beacon of Chinese innovation—a smart, ecologically sound, livable, and maritime city.
It is hailed as a world-class hub for the petrochemical sector, a vital cornerstone for Guangdong's connectivity with ASEAN, a designated national demonstration zone for coastal tourism industries, a comprehensive experimental zone for the marine economy, and a base for Guangdong's energy and equipment manufacturing industries.
Serving as the focal point of Maoming's strategic development towards the sea, the area steadily fortifies its strong industrial foundation. Recent years have seen a dedicated focus on developing the green petrochemical industry and spearheading the development of the Maoming zero-carbon industrial park, with the petrochemical industry at its core.
