Recently, the construction of the high school section of Maoming School Affiliated to Guangdong Experimental High School, has been progressing smoothly, with 14 buildings having been topped out before the Spring Festival.

The school is located in the Gongqing River area of Maoming, covering an area of approximately 324 mu (21.6 hectares). Construction began in July last year, and all buildings have been in full swing. It is expected to be delivered for use on schedule in August 2024, with classes starting in September.

The high school section consists of 19 individual buildings, the tallest of which is the teacher's apartment building, at nine stories. The teaching building and student dormitory buildings are both five stories high, all of which have been topped out.

The construction adopts high-quality construction teams and advanced techniques, such as prefabricated construction and the combination of permanent and temporary structures, to accelerate the project's progress and improve efficiency. Corridors have been set up between all buildings, and an artificial lake has been constructed, embodying the design concept of a sponge city.

Once completed, the school will provide 3000 student placements, which will positively impact the educational development of Maoming.
