The China Lychee Expo Center in Genzi town will open on a trial basis in May. It is an important part of China's national lychee germplasm resource nursery, and a sub-project of the Maoming Modern Agricultural Industrial Park.

It integrates research, history and culture, science popularization, product display, network interaction, as well as leisure tourism services and facilities. It has five exhibition halls on the first floor and two exhibition halls on the second floor.

Chen Jinzhang, the head of Lingnan Painting, organized 50 painters from Guangdong and other nearby southeastern China provinces to jointly create a lychee-themed painting, which was installed recently at the expo center.

The exhibition halls utilize VR technology to enable people to see the lychee planting, cultivation, and harvesting process. On the second floor, there is an aerial plank road spanning more than 700 meters. The plank road connects the expo center and the production areas of the China's national lychee germplasm resource nursery.
