With the Spring Festival approaching, Maoming has been holding a variety of online and offline activities, including music, dance, and opera performances.

The Spring Festival theatrical performance, sponsored by the Maoming culture, radio, television, tourism and sports bureau, was held online. It invited professional cultural and artistic teams to give viewers a wonderful show.

The 2022 Maoming Children's Spring Festival Gala, hosted by Maoming Daily, was recorded and will be broadcast on Xinhua News Agency's platforms at 8 pm on Jan 30.

There were puppet show performances held at Gaozhou intangible cultural heritage center, Spring Festival Gala and square dance performances held at Dianbai district’s library and cultural center, Cantonese opera performances held at Xinyi cultural center, as well as comprehensive art performances held at the Huazhou cultural center.

Maoming library held calligraphy and painting exhibitions with the themes of spring and nature. It also hosted artist exhibitions of painters Hou Yifang and Liang Shan, including more than 100 oil paintings, watercolor works, as well as Chinese paintings that depict the humanistic and natural landscapes of Maoming.

Maoming Museum, Huazhou Museum, and Gaozhou cultural center will exhibit intangible cultural heritage items, historical relics, as well as many famous calligraphy and painting works during the Spring Festival holiday.

In order to bolster awareness and promote the Winter Olympics, Huazhou library will hold an online quiz with prizes during the Spring Festival holiday.
